Claremont Marquees to the rescue…

…of Exeter City Football Club following the storms of Thursday evening.

Along with so many other people and events, Exeter City was left surveying the damage last Friday morning as the storms and gales of Thursday night blew away the newly erected catering marquee by the Flybe Stand (shown below).

Facing a severe catering and financial migraine, the club desperately started to hunt for a source of help as potential suppliers battled across the West Country with weddings and shows floating away on seas of mud and marquees that had gone skyward.

Help was at hand though as Claremont Marquees of Coleford near Crediton, stepped in immediately and produced a miracle of friendly and professional help and service. Result? By Saturday morning Claremont had been, done and gone and the show went on at St. James’ Park when Accrington Stanley came to town.

Julia Pratt, who along with husband William and family, has run the very successful company since 2000, when they made the switch from Dairy Farming to canvass, said,

It was a pleasure to help. We have been thinking of getting involved with the club for a while and then they called! We are just pleased to have been able to do something for them and delighted the team won on the day as well. We are extremely proud of the quality of our work and range of marquees and it was nice to be able to show how we can perform”.

The club’s head of Food and Beverage, Justin Quick was not only grateful for the speed and quality of Claremont’s response to the crisis; he has no hesitation in recommending companies and fans to use the company’s services.

They were simply great” he said, “A pleasure to deal with and we are indebted to them”.

City’s Business Development Manager, Bruce Henderson says, “A look at the Claremont web-site is essential for anyone in need or thinking of having a marquee for any occasion, or call with your enquiry to the company on 01363 84846 – they deserve your business is all we can say and we are very grateful to them”.
